Cub Swanson vs Nate Landwehr
The end of a 22 year career, 15 of which spent at the top level in the UFC and couldn’t
have ended any better for Cub Swanson.
With his wife and children at Cage side, Cub was on the front foot from the second the
fight began.
Lighting up Nate’s leg immediately compromising his calf. Nate really had nothing to
trouble Cub on his curtain call, Cub was focused and was on fire early, landing strong
combo’s, culminating in a big left hand that knocked down Nate before Cub went for
the kill, knocking out Nate with a big right hook and the referee rightfully ending the
fight.
Also the now common place tribute package was a well deserved and a great touch.

Dominick Reyes vs Johnny Walker
Boos and chants of “This is boring” sums up the fight. Not much to review. Could have been a draw as both fighters were trying to avoid losing rather than trying to go for the
victory.

Josh Hokit us Curtis Blaydes
WHAT A FIGHT!
To quote the commentary team “The antidote to Reyes vs Walker”
Hokit went for the Ko early, stunning Blaydes with a big combo, seemingly breaking
Curtis’ nose which by the end of fight had dyed Hokit’s white shorts pink.
Curtis tried to wrestle but struggled to control Hokit, resulting in numerous bird flipping
from Hokit.
Hokit however, gassed himself going for the Ko which allowed some return offence
from Blaydes, rocking Hokit with a big combo of his own before tiring himself, at one
point, both fighters seemed to hold each other up.
A crazy fight for two big heavy weights, back and forth for 15 minutes but neither man
would go down.
To quote Daniel Cormier “This is the greatest heavyweight fight of all time”. This fight
was magical Chaos and the UFC has a new fan favourite in Hokit.
Hokit by unanimous decision

Paulo Costa vs Azamat Murzakanov
Firstly, it was amazing to me that Costa ever made weight at 185. I thought he’d solve
that by going up to light heavyweight but he’s even bigger, the man is Huge!
Another good back and forth fight, Murzakanov with great footwork, darting in and out
of exchanges, he was able early on, to push Costa back with fast feet and fast hands.
Costa however, smartly attacked the legs and body with devastating kicks.
This fight could have went either way but unfortunately for Murzakanov, a big kick from
Costa injured his arm.
Unable to protect his head, Costa was able to finish him with a big head kick and
Azamal was done.
Grade: C
Jiri Prochazka vs Carlos Ulberg
AND NEW!!
What a short but eventful fight.
Jiri went head hunting early and Ulberg was countering with strong calf kicks.
Both fighters looked good, however Ulberg injured his knee (gruesome visual in slow
motion), Jiri smelling blood came in for the kill, yelling at Ulberg to stand and swing.
Attacking with leg kicks and big combos.
Jiri’s haste to go for the KO would be his undoing, a huge check left hook from Ulberg,
it landed perfectly on Jiri’s chin, turning off the lights of Jiri, winning the light
heavyweight title on one leg.
The UFC unfortunately may need an interim champ already, the knee injury looked
bad.
But. Congratulations to the new Champ. AND NEW!
